Echocardiogram...
Yesterday we went down to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Chloe had to have an echocardiogram since her pediatrician heard a little heart murmur at her last check-up. Paul's sister works there and was able to stop by to see us. We got the results today and it looks as if she has what is called a "ventricular septal defect." That basically means she has a small hole between the right and left ventricle. Evidently there is a 50% chance that it will close on its own by age 1, but the cardiologist still wants to see her again as a precaution. We were told not to worry and it is pretty common, but still a bit unnerving. Say a prayer for quick healing if you think of it!
