Last Days of Summer

I've been a little behind in getting some things posted on our blog lately, so these photos are a bit overdue. I also realized after writing this that my life is not very exciting. Among other things, I am posting pictures of plants and a pot.... but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Near the end of the summer we did a few fun things before the weather started getting cold. One evening, we went up the street to an antique car show that displays about 500 classic cars. Chloe had a great time checking them out an made sure we saw all the ones that looked like Doc, Red, Lightning McQueen etc. from the movie "Cars."





Another day was spent at a nearby lake with some of our good buddies. I am really thankful for these kids and their moms. They are great friends to spend a day hanging out on the beach after the town pool closes for the season!





Now we're in the thick of Fall and the leaves are turning beautiful, vibrant colors. I hope my newly transplanted herbs from the garden will last inside for the winter. We also hope to get out to some Fall festivals, but it has been raining for about a week straight! Great nights for some beef stew in my new Dutch oven pot!
